VMO foam roll

VMO foam roll

Lie on your good side on a mat with your knees slightly bent.  
Bend the affected leg forward and place your knee on the foam roller.  
Make sure the foam roll is placed just above the knee on the softer part.
Use your lower leg for balance as you roll the upper leg knee back and forth along the foam roller. 
Hold the position on any tender spots you might find.
